Winter Fun
We started our week welcoming our 3rd grade buddies into our classroom to build our very own name snowmen! 4K Friends worked hard to write their own letters on their name and then 3rd graders helped cut, color and create items to decorate our snowmen with.
We also had many new winter-themed centers this week! We painted snowflakes using forks at Art Studio, skated and fished at our 4K Ice Rink in Dramatic Play, built a snowman and made many train tracks at Construction Zone and used the light table at Sensory Table to build skyscrapers and letters! It was sure a fun week.

Star Student
We loved learning all about our friend David last week as our latest Star Student. David is incredibly sweet, always thoughtful of his friends and a very hard worker in 4K. We loved learning so much more about David through his colorful poster, fun pictures and even some neat show-n-tell items.
Mystery Reader
This past week our class welcomed another Mystery Reader! Jordan's Dad read us three awesome stories. He read us Loud Winer's Nap, The Someone New and Bedtime for Batman. They were all perfect stories that kept our 4K friends engaged and happy.

Star Student
We loved getting to know our friend Dash as our latest Star Student! We learned so much more about him through his decorated poster, lots of pictures and show-n-tell items. Dash is a caring, thoughtful and super creative friend that can always put a smile on someone's face. It was so great getting to know him more!
4K Hibernation Day
What a fun day it was in 4K for Hibernation Day! We talked about hibernating animals with a focus on Bears! Dressed in our pajamas and with our stuffed teddy bears near us all afternoon, there was so much excitement. We even made a bear puppet, found letters in our table "caves" and even found a hibernating bear in a special Cup-cave treat.

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Weber!
On January 18th we celebrated a very special person in our class for her Birthday... Mrs. Weber! Mrs. Weber is dear to all of us. Her patience, flexibility and love that she shows each one of our friends is endless. Without Mrs. Weber in our classroom, nothing would run the same way and our days would not be as bright. We are so incredibly thankful to have such an amazing teacher to learn with.

Parkview Pride Mondays
Beginning Monday, January 24th, Parkview will celebrate being a Bullpup by wearing Parkview Spiritwear or Blue/White. Your child can dress in Parkview colors EVERY MONDAY! We hope your child joins in.

Mystery Reader
We welcomed another Mystery Reader this week! Norah's Mom read us 4 short, sweet stories that included some ABCs and some dancing lead by some cute animals. She read us Chicka Chicka ABC, Never Let a Unicorn Scribble, Dance and Red Sled. It was a terrific way to begin our afternoon.

Snow is here!
The snow is officially here! That means it's time to work on your child's independency with getting themselves ready to head out into the snow for play. In 4K we have a special song that reminds us of the correct order we should get dressed in to be most efficient and bring less frustration. The more practice at home the better!
Below is the order your child should be getting dressed in:
1. Snowpants
2. Boots
3. Coat
4. Hat
5. Mittens are always last
And don't forget, we will go outside every TUESDAY and THURSDAY. Your child will need all their snowgear on these days!

We started 2022 off right in 4K... with a pajama Character Day to talk about Respect and Responsibly and also to talk about our resolutions, or goals, for the New Year!
