Wacky Wednesday...

Animal Print Day!

Mystery Reader

We were lucky once again to have a Mystery Reader to end our day!  Jacob's Mom joined us to read two terrific stories that were clearly favorites of Jacob's. :)  She read us Digger, Dozer, Dumper and Let's Go for a Drive.  They were both great stories that not only made us laugh but also made many connections with friends.

Our week started with one of our favorite activities.... Mystery Reader!!  Alex L.'s Dad joined our classroom and read us two fantastic stories that were fun and kept us engaged.  He read us Dinner at the Panda Palace and Scoob!  They were both great stories.

Star Student

Last week we celebrated another one of our wonderful friends as Star Student... Mabel!  Mabel is incredibly sweet, always does her best and is a friend to all in our classroom.  We loved learning more about Mabel through her decorated poster, adorable pictures and show-n-tell items.

Riveredge Program

We had a blast being scientists and exploring under leaves and logs to look for Earthworms!  We learned a lot about earthworms and how important they are for recycling leaves and other natural things back into the earth!  We also found other creatures along the way too.  Be sure to ask your scientist all about it!

4K Animal Hospital

This week we became veterinarians and helped heal injured animals at our 4K Animal Hospital!  4K friends loved helping animals with band aides, taking temperatures, using X-ray pictures, making appointments and so much more.  It was the perfect way to expand our language, use problem solving skills and our imaginations!

spring centers

Our class was so excited to add some new springy things into our centers!  From water play in the sensory table, building shape animals in the writing center, helping sick animals in dramatic play Animal Hospital, to painting with eggs and watercolors.  It sure made for a fun and learning-filled week.

Mystery Reader

We ended our short week in the best way... with a Mystery Reader!  Sebastian's brother Eric joined our classroom to read us two awesome and engaging stories: Chicken on Vacation and Pete the Cat, Tip-Top Tree House.  We were so happy he was able to come down from his second grade classroom to read to us!

It made all of our friends hope to do the same when they are older too... yes please!! :)
