4K Animal Hospital

This week we became veterinarians and helped heal injured animals at our 4K Animal Hospital!  4K friends loved helping animals with band aides, taking temperatures, using X-ray pictures, making appointments and so much more.  It was the perfect way to expand our language, use problem solving skills and our imaginations!

spring centers

Our class was so excited to add some new springy things into our centers!  From water play in the sensory table, building shape animals in the writing center, helping sick animals in dramatic play Animal Hospital, to painting with eggs and watercolors.  It sure made for a fun and learning-filled week.

Mystery Reader

We ended our short week in the best way... with a Mystery Reader!  Sebastian's brother Eric joined our classroom to read us two awesome and engaging stories: Chicken on Vacation and Pete the Cat, Tip-Top Tree House.  We were so happy he was able to come down from his second grade classroom to read to us!

It made all of our friends hope to do the same when they are older too... yes please!! :)

Mystery Readers

We loved having Ellie's grandparents Nonna and O'pa join us today as Mystery Readers!  They read us two fun and engaging stories: Peppa Pig and the Great Vacation and No More Noisy Nights.  Both were terrific fits for our class.

It was sure a perfect way to end a Monday. :)

Mystery Reader

We ended our short week with a Mystery Reader!  Alex L's Mom (and baby brother!) joined us to read 2 terrific stories with an Easter theme!  She read The Toothfairy vs. The Easter Bunny and The Story of the Easter Bunny.  Both books got us excited about the upcoming holiday!

It was a perfect way to end our week.

Star Student

Our latest class Star Student was our friend, Liam!  Liam is kind, caring and a sweet friend to all.  He loves Superheros and anything Star Wars and he brought the best book (The Book with No Pictures) to have Mrs. Gajafsky read to the class.. it was very silly and made us all laugh!  We loved learning more about Liam through his poster, pictures and show-n-tell items.
